Edge 7

So after 6 months with the Samsung Edge 7, I will finally  review it. Talk about perfect timing with the release of the iPhone 7 just last week 🙂 I feel to really give a review you should test it for a certain amount of time and not within a few days or weeks.

The Edge 7 offers a beautiful curved 5.5in Super AMOLED screen 1,440 x 2,560 Quad HD resolution. It includes an Octa-core 1.6GHz Samsung Exynos 8890 processor. It has a pixel index of 534ppi compared to iPhones 6s which has 401ppi. Converting from an iPhone to an android device can be a bit tricky in the beginning. Being accustomed to a certain OS takes a bit of time to get unused to. The transferring of data from my iPhone to the S7 Edge was a breeze. One of the advantages of a Droid device is you can access any file and actually control the phone (themes) and its features. Unlike the iPhone where your abilities to maneuver or personalize your phone are restricted.

America’s Best Network

One of the features I fell in love with was, of course, the rear 12megapixel lens with f/1.7 dual pixel sensor and phase-detect autofocus. Every picture you take is crisp clear. The ability to take photos in a low lighted area is a brilliant feature that iPhone 6s don’t have yet. Samsung also included a sweet Pro mode feature, which enables you to fully control every aspect of your photo.  I boosted my storage space to 256gb using a sd card. I can also record in 4K quality . Did I mention it’s dust and water-resistant (IP68) . The advantage with storage SD cards is that you can interchange them as soon as they are filled up. The fast charge or wireless charging can juice up your 3,600mAh battery in about an hour and a half.  More details HERE.

Overall I think the S7 Edge is a fine piece of technology and investment. With Virtual Capabilities (not yet tested by me). Smartphones are only going to get much more sophisticated and are being pushed to the limit. Please check for my future posts which will include the Virtual Gear from Samsung!

Low Lighting feature

Disclosure: As a member of a pretty cool team of influencers, I received accessories from Verizon. No additional compensation was provided nor did I promise a positive review. All opinions are my own!
